History ans Mission of Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK)

Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK) is an academic centre under the administrative structure of Institute of Population and Social Research, Mahidol University. The consultant and the committee conduct the direction with recommendation , advice, and design for TPAK proceeding according to the approach drive and physical activity in national goal. Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK) is an agency functions to refer data and knowledge from researches in physical activity in demography and social science. To define the function role in knowledge support and build the academic space for physical activeity study in related issues, organize the database, analyze, synthesize the data in order to use in communication for public and policy which is necessary to reinforce a drive for policy in physical activity in Thais for the holistic health.

1) Review the situation and knowledge related physical activity in order to use in the plan and the direction in policy drive of Thai Population's physical activity.

2) Unite the networks for physical activity, anlyze the issues and research questions in order to support the implementation for physical activity promotion.

3) Develop database, tools for social data collection, follow up and assessment throughout the trend analysis in physical activity with the international academic standard. To have benefits in analysis and comparable study including the surveillance in physical activity.

4) Develop and disserminate the academic output, high qualitative innovation in social science to reinforce all ages of Thai Population's physical activity.
